Dr. Mona Papes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and the Director of the Spatial Analysis Lab at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research focuses on understanding biodiversity patterns and their underlying drivers to inform conservation efforts. By integrating ecological niche modeling, geographic information systems (GIS), and remote sensing, she investigates ecological dynamics across spatial and temporal scales.
